6. Maintain a quiet and orderly environment while in the AI Lab.
7. Strictly follow the instructions when using computers and other devices in the AI Lab, refraining from software with unknown origins or without proper permissions.
Do not move, replace, uninstall, or install any equipment in the AI Lab without permission.
8. Do not use personal computers belonging to others or any computers assigned to individuals by the University.
9. Do not change or sabotage any file or data that is not in your possession on the lab computer. Do not install any new software or tamper with the existing hardware in any manner.
10. Do not move or take any device or asset within the AI Lab outside without obtaining written permission from the AI Lab Director/SIU Leadership Board first.
11. Do not use the lab computer to launch a cyber attack; do not access any websites with prohibited content, including but not limited to reactionary, pornographic, and violent material, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
12. Comply with the University’s and AI Lab’s rights to intellectual properties.
13. Do not share or disclose any projects, information, or intellectual property from the AI Lab and the University with external individuals or organizations.
14. Do not use, simulate, or copy any asset, document, or information from the AI Lab or the University without obtaining written permission from the Lab Director and SIU Leadership Board first. Ensure that any third party associated with the AI Lab/University also adheres to these regulations.
15. Maintain strict confidentiality of all content, information, activities, documentation, manuals, regulations, policies, procedures, and intellectual property of the AI Lab/University (Confidential Information), unless prior written permission is obtained from the Lab Director and SIU Leadership Board for the use or disclosure of such Confidential Information to third parties for purposes other than conducting the AI Lab projects.

For staff and faculty: Request the System Administrator to provide a server account with username, password, and manual.
For students: Students conducting research or thesis are eligible for a server account. Students may contact their academic advisor to register for an account with the System Administrator.

First access
On first access, server will require user to change their password. Once the password has been changed, the server is ready for use.

Regulations for using server
Do not share the provided server account/password with any outsider.
Do not abuse the available resources. Each account running a service program on a server may only employ a limited amount of 20 CPU cores/server and exhaust no more than 80% RAM capacity to prevent negative impacts on other programs, services.
For servers with discrete graphics processing units (GPU), each account must comply with the rules for usage type (see Table 1).
Do not access, delete, or change the permission status of any folder, file, or data belonging to other people or groups.
Do not save to the server sensitive, insecure data that are not in service of research, study, or work. Do not access unsafe or insecure websites.
Upon encountering a problem, please report it immediately to the System Administrator by generating a ticket on //redmine.tadasha.com/
Do not update or install any service, tool, or software without obtaining permission from the System Administrator first.
Proceed with update, patch installment, or software uninstallment upon the System Administrator’s request when there is a security threat.

Registering for equipment borrowing and use
Eligible borrowers
For staff and faculty: Request the Equipment Manager to generate a borrow card on the software and give your signature before taking the equipment.
For students: Students conducting research or thesis are eligible for equipment borrowing. Students may contact their academic advisor to proceed with the borrowing procedure on their behalf. The advisor shall take responsibility for maintenance, safekeeping, and compensation in case the student damages the equipment.

Regulations for borrowing ?returning equipment
The returned device must be operational, intact, and without change or alteration to any of its internal parts. The size, shape, color, and structure of the returned device must be in the same state compared to when it was borrowed.
The device must be returned by the due date specified on the borrow card. Late return will result in a penalty in accordance with the degree of violation.
The Equipment Manager is responsible for checking the external features, functions, and internal parts of the device, ensuring there is no damage.
In case of damage(s), the Lab has the right to request compensation from the borrower in the form of a repair fee/repurchase cost.

Regulations on equipment use
Strictly comply with the instructions on device use and assembly provided by the Equipment Manager and the attached manual.
Follow the instructions for using and assembling the device provided in the manual and comply with electrical safety precautions.
Do not change or alter the structure or parts of the robot without obtaining permission from the Equipment Manager.
In case of an accident beyond the borrower’s control, immediately report it to the Equipment Manager; do not proceed to repair the device without any permission.
Refrain from putting a robot or electronic device in any place with direct sunlight and/or high humidity, where the temperature exceeds 30C or falls below 10C.
Do not charge the device overnight, unplug it when the charging is complete.
Staff needs to clean the Lab equipment frequently to guard against damage.

1. Only enter the practice area accompanied by an instructor or a staff member.
2. Wear the Hospitality Management uniform and tie up their hair into a bun (for female students) during practice.
– Practice at reception, tables, and bars: female students may wear skirt (with hem line not higher than 2 centimeters from the knees) or trousers.
– Practice at hotel rooms: female students must wear trousers.
3. Only bring pens and notebooks to the practice area; put their purse, hat, shoes, etc. at the designated area; tend to their personal belongings (money, phones, etc.); SIU will not bear any responsibility for lost items.
4. Study in the right area/room as designated on the practice schedule.
5. Not smoke, have snacks, or litter in the practice area; keep quiet and clean; refrain from personal work; not move the property and equipment in the practice area without permission from the instructor or staff member.
6. Clean up the practice area before leaving; clean and arrange the equipment/instruments tidily as per the instructor’s or staff member’s guidance.
7. Not bring any combustible, flammable material, weapon, or nationally banned items.
8. In case of loss or deliberate damage, compensate and repurchase a new item of identical size and specification to the lost/damaged equipment/instruments within 15 days. Violations may lead to a permanent ban from entering the practice area, compensation and legal action (along with suspension and possible dismissal from school). All violations shall be recorded into a minute of incident to be reported to the related faculty and SIU for review and appropriate action.
II. Instructors at the practice area must
1. Wear appropriate clothing and tie up their hair into a bun (for female instructors); be gentle.
2. Give their signature to receive/return room keys, equipment, chemicals, and ingredients before and after practice; guide the students on how to properly clean the equipment and the practice area, as well as arrange items tidily before returning the room to a staff member or the Office of Administration & Student Services.
3. Closely monitor and supervise the students?compliance with the rules, cooperate with the staff member or the Office of Administration & Student Services to record minutes of incidents for violating students.
4. In case of loss, compensate and repurchase a new item of identical size and specification to the lost equipment/instruments within 15 days.
5. Turn off all electronic equipment before leaving to prevent fire hazards; save water, electricity and advise the students to do the same.
6. Not bring any property/equipment out of the practice area without permission from the Executive of Administration & Student Services.
III. Staff member of the practice area/the Office of Administration & Student Services must
1. Hand over and take back room keys, property, equipment/instruments, ingredients, and chemicals to/from the instructor before and after practice.
2. Closely monitor and supervise the students?and instructors?compliance with the rules; have the right to refuse entrance to the practice area by violating students.
3. In case of beyond-repair damages to property/equipment, immediately report to the Office of Administration & Student Services for appropriate actions.
4. Turn off all electronic equipment before leaving to prevent fire hazards; save water, electricity and advise the students to do the same.
5. Not bring any property/equipment out of the practice area without permission from the Head of Office of Administration & Student Services.
6. For any loss occurring under their watch, compensate and repurchase a new item of identical size and specification to the lost equipment/instruments within 15 days.
