Program Overview
This Bachelor of Marketing program requires 8 semesters spread over four years, including general education courses and Marketing course work.
This program is based on the high standards of leading American universities.
Description
The Bachelor of Marketing program is designed to train students to have basic knowledge about management; business administration; marketing; analytical skills, problem solving skills and how to apply marketing into business activities. Moreover, students can also meet the requirements in the competitive business environment of the global market. The program will provide students with skills in organizing, managing market research activities; designing and implementing market and product development strategies, price fixing strategies, distribution, advertising, promotion…
Students will approach a variety of practical situations in business and economic activities. After the completion of this program, students will be deeply aware of all types of marketing in business environments and be able to meet varied demands from the workplace.
To achieve the Bachelor’s degree of the program taught in the Vietnamese language, students must complete all the courses in the Bachelor of Marketing program and achieve a TOEIC score of 500.
After the first two years of the program taught in English language, students can complete their bachelor’s degree at The Saigon International University or can transfer to Suffolk University – Boston, America.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Business Administration major in Foreign Trade, students may pursue M.A and Ph.D programs at leading universities in America, UK, Australia or Canada etc.
Transferring conditions depend on the policies of each university.
Admission conditions
I. For students graduating from Vietnamese high schools:
Students choose one of the following four selection methods:
a. Admission examination by results of 5 semesters (2 semesters of 10th grade, 2 semesters of 11th grade and 1st semester of 12th grade)
– High school graduation;
– Grade 12 grade 12’s behavior from Good or higher.
– Overall GPA of 5 semesters is 6,0 or higher.
– The total score of 3 combined subjects for admission to grade 12 is 18 points or more.
– The application period is as follows:
Phase 1: March 1 – April 29
Phase 2: May 3 – June 30
Phase 3: July 4 – July 31
Phase 4: August 1 – August 31
Phase 5: September 1 – September 20
– Application for admission includes:

+ Notarized copy of provisional graduation certificate (or high school diploma);
+ Notarized copy of high school transcripts;
+ Admission fee: 100,000 VND / 1 application (If the program is taught in Vietnamese), 550,000 VND / 1 application (If the program is taught in English).

b. Examination of Grade 12 transcripts
– High school graduation;
– Rating of conduct from Good or higher;
– GPA for the whole year of 12th grade is 6.0 or higher;
– The total score of 3 subjects in the selection combination is 18 points or more.

c. Admission of high school exam results
– Participating in the 2022 high school graduation exam, achieving the combined score of 3 subjects announced by SIU after the exam results are available.
– Graduated from high school as prescribed.
– Candidates register and carry out the application, the general enrollment schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training.

d. Admission is based on the results of the competency assessment exam of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City 2022
– High school graduation;
– Participated in the 2022 competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and achieved the score according to the regulations announced by SIU.
– Application for admission includes:
+ Application form according to SIU’s form, candidates can download for free at: www.tadasha.com;
+ Notarized copy of provisional graduation certificate;
+ A notarized copy of the scorecard of the capacity assessment exam 2022 issued by the National University of Ho Chi Minh City;
+ Admission fee: 100,000 VND / 1 application (if studying the program taught in Vietnamese), 550,000 VND / 1 application (if studying the program taught in English).

II. For foreign students, Vietnamese students graduating from high schools abroad and students attending international schools in Vietnam.
– Admission is based on high school results
– Check the level according to the regulations of the school
– Application for admission includes:
+ Translation and notarization of certificates of completion of high school programs
+ Translation and notarization of high school academic results
+ Other foreign language certificates and international certificates (if any)
To apply for an English-taught program, in addition to the above conditions, candidates need to have TOEFL 61 iBT or IELTS 5.5 (no more than 2 years) or pass the English test of Saigon International University. (if you do not have the above English certificate).
In case a candidate has a TOEFL score of 45 – 60 iBT, they will both study the general education knowledge program taught in Vietnamese and study the academic English program of Saigon International University in no more than 12 months. When students achieve TOEFL 61 iBT required by university level, students will study professional education knowledge program in English.
Candidates who do not have the above English certificates are allowed to participate in the English test organized by Saigon International University.
Students in the Academic English Program will be allowed to sit for standardized English language tests every 6 months.
Past 12 months, students who have not met the English entry requirements will transfer to the Vietnamese-language curriculum.
Students studying in grade 12 can apply for the English entrance exam to Saigon International University but must complete the admission requirements before admission.
The tuition fee of the undergraduate program does not include the academic English program, students studying the academic English program must pay additional tuition fees according to the provisions of the Academic English program.

The tuition fee for the Bachelor of Marketing major is about 47.8 million VND/year (for programs taught in Vietnamese) and about 122.2 million VND/year (for programs taught in English). Before each semester, students pay tuition fees in Vietnamese according to the fee schedule updated at the time of payment.
