Requirements Consideration And Recognition For Graduation (Applicable From Course 2022)
Students meeting the following requirements are entitled to be considered and recognized for graduation by the University:
- Upon the time of graduation, students are not being prosecuted for criminal liability or being disciplined at the level of suspension.
- Accumulate the number of credits required by the program.
- Cumulative GPA reaches 2.00 or higher.
- Holder of national defense education and physical education certificates.
- Requirements on foreign language competency:
+ For English Language students:
Hold a certificate of completion of the Intensive English 1 & 2 courses, issued by the Center for Foreign Languages – Information Technology of the Saigon International University; pass the foreign language competency assessment examination (equivalent to level 5 of the Vietnamese foreign language competency framework) organized by the Saigon International University; or submit an international English proficiency certificate (equivalent to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)).
+ For students of other programs:
- Hold a certificate of completion of the English Skills 1, 2, 3 courses, issued by the Center for Foreign Languages – Information Technology of the Saigon International University;
- and Submit an English certificate equivalent to level 3 of the Vietnamese foreign language competency framework (TOEIC 550, or IELTS 4.5, or TOEFL 45 iBT, or TOEFL ITP 470, or Cambridge Assessment English 145 (B1 Preliminary/B1 Business Preliminary/Linguaskill )).
+ For students of the programs taught in English: Hold a TOEFL certificate of 79 iBT or IELTS 6.5 or higher.
- Requirements on informatics competency:
+ For Computer Science students:
- Hold a certificate of completion of international professional training course, issued by the Center for Foreign Languages – Information Technology of SIU;
- and Submit a professional certificate of CCNA, or Coursera – Applied Text Mining in Python (University of Michigan), or Coursera – Big Data Major (University of California San Diego), or Coursera – Machine Learning Major (Stanford University)
+ For students of other programs:
- Hold a certificate of completion of Word & PowerPoint, Excel courses, issued by the Center for Foreign Languages – Information Technology of the Saigon International University;
- and Submit the MOS Specialist international information technology certificate (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) issued by Microsoft – USA.
- Hold a certificate of participation in club activities issued by SIU.
- Participate in the soft skills and professional training courses, seminars, conferences, field trips, and internships organized by the University.
- Meet the requirements of the swimming course required by the University.
Fulfill the obligations regarding tuition, fees… required by the University.
