Abstract: Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has drawn enormous attention from the research community as a promising technology for future wireless communications with increasing demands of capacity and throughput. Especially, in the light of fifth- generation (5G) communication where multiple Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices are connected, the application of NOMA to indoor wireless networks has become more interesting to study. In view of this, we investigate the NOMA technique in energy harvesting (EH) half-duplex (HD) decode-and-forward (DF) power-splitting relaying (PSR) networks over indoor scenarios which are characterized by log-normal fading channels. The system performance of such networks is evaluated in terms of outage probability (OP) and total throughput for delay-limited transmission mode whose ex-pressions are derived herein. In general, we can see in details how different systemparameters affect such networks thanks to the results from Monte Carlo simulations. For illustrating the accuracy of our analytical results, we plot them along with the theoretical ones for comparison.

Abstract: Employing simultaneous information and power transfer (SWIPT) technology in coop erative relaying networks has drawn considerable attention from the research community. We can find several studies that focus on Rayleigh and Nakagami-m fading chan-nels, which are used to model the outdoor scenarios. Differing itself from several exist- ing studies, this study is conducted in the context of indoor scenario modelled by log- normal fading channels. Specifically, we investigate a so-called hybrid time switch- ing relaying (TSR) – power splitting relaying (PSR) protocol in an energy-constrained cooperative amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying network. We evaluate the system per-formance with outage probability (OP) by analytically expressing and simulating it with Monte Carlo method. The impact of power-splitting (PS), time-switching (TS) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on the OP was investigated. The simulation results are relatively accurate because they align well with the theory. We can draw from this study that the outage performance of the proposed hybrid TSR-PSR scheme outper- forms either the TSR or PSR schemes.

Phương pháp phân tích tệp tin nhật ký hệ thống đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc giám sát an ninh mạng. Bài báo đã đề cập đến việc giám sát an ninh mạng bằng phương pháp phân tích tệp tin nhật ký hệ thống. Các kết quả thực nghiệm minh chứng phương pháp đề xuất cho hiệu năng thực hiện cao, cả về độ chính xác và thời gian xử lý

Abstract: Recently, palm vein recognition is new biometric technology with a high degree of privacy and security because this technique uses the blood vessels under the palm skin to establish identification. This paper proposes a novel palm vein feature extraction method for contactless palm vein recognition based on combining enhanced center-symmetric local binary pattern (ECS-LBP) with SIFT, called EL-SIFT. The proposed method includes two steps: (1) applying ECS-LBP to detect stable and clear palm-vein lines; and (2) extracting SIFT feature on palm vein lines image. The experimental results on the public contactless palm vein databases (CASIA Multi-spectral Palm vein Image Database V1.0) show that our proposed method is accurate and robust for palm vein recognition in comparing with other approaches in the literature.

Abstract: Palmprint is a new biometric feature for personal identification with a high degree of privacy and security. In this paper, we propose the palmprint feature extraction method which combines the direction-based method (Local line direction pattern) and learning-based method (two-directional two-dimensional linear discriminant analysis ((2D) 2 LDA)) to get the high discriminant direction based features, so-called Discriminant local line Directional Representation (DLLDR). First, the algorithm computes the LLDP features with two strategies of encoding multi-directions. Then,(2D) 2 LDA is applied to extract DLLDR features with higher discriminant and lower-dimensional from the LLDP matrix. The experimental results on the public databases of Hong Kong Polytechnic University demonstrate that our method is effective for palmprint recognition.
