KUN SHAN UNIVERSITY, TAIWAN

Kun Shan University (KSU; Chinese:崑山科技大學) is a private university in Yongkang District, Tainan, Taiwan. The school was founded on April 29, 1965 as Kun Shan Institute of Technology. In August 2000, the school was upgraded to Kun Shan University by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education.
The name “Kun Shan” in Chinese means “Kun Mountain”, symbolizing steadfastness and perseverance. The school maintains an international outlook and high educational standards with the goal of combining technology and humanities education to train innovative technical professionals.

KSU is known for its strong engineering programs and has partnerships with companies such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and ASE Technology Holding. The school offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a range of fields, including engineering, business, design, health sciences and humanities.
KSU has 5 faculties: Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Creative Communications, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Humanities. In 2023, Kun Shan University is ranked 40th in Taiwan, 2578th globally, and in the TOP 50% across 37 research topics.
