Chang Gung University (CGU; Chinese:長庚大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī : Tióng -keng Tāi-ha̍k ) is a private university located in Guishan District , Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The school was established in April 1987 with the original name Chang Gung Medical College. Since 1993, the school has expanded its training program to include engineering and management majors, and changed its name to Chang Gung College of Medicine and Technology. In July 1997, the school was recognized by the Taiwanese government and renamed Chang Gung University.
The name “Chang Gung” in Chinese means “perseverance and perseverance”, reflecting the spirit and core values of the school. CGU is committed to training professionals with high expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and comprehensive qualities.
